Elite and Mass Political Behaviour (Edinburgh, 2024 – 2025)
In my previous role, I proposed and designed this honours-level elective course covering theoretical accounts of elite and mass political behaviour, and empirical research covering different modes of political participation. Teaching deliver includes simulations and field trips to observe political behaviour in practice. Assessment is via an essay, a blog post, and a response to another student’s blog post.
Introduction to Political Data Analysis (Edinburgh, 2023 – 2025)
In my previous role, I co-organised this compulsory pre-honours course covering key statistical concepts and analytical techniques. Teaching delivery was via lectures that are complemented and supported by labs run by a team of tutors. Lab tasks and supporting data and code (as well as all other course materials) are available via the online learning environment. Assessment is via two parts of a research report (broadly, a literature review and data analysis), and a timed assignment requiring analysis of quantitative data.
